Injured?  Family plan a vacation without telling you? Just don’t want to race?

Life happens. We know. That’s why we’re stoked to be able to offer registration fee insurance for all Endurance Evolution events. If you’ve signed up for an Endurance Evolution event and purchase insurance, but are unable to participate, you may be eligible for a full refund. You can check out the full set of  terms and conditions here.

If you choose not to purchase insurance, here are your options:

More than 60 days before the event date: may receive a 50% credit toward the following year’s race.

60 days through 15 days before the event, there are no refunds/credits, but participants may switch to a shorter distance at the same event (if it is not sold out). Participants may not switch to a longer distance.

15 days or less before the event no event switching is allowed.

Transferring your registration or selling it to others isn’t allowed.

Some folks wonder why we don’t allow you to transfer your entry to a friend or give refunds. Here’s why:

Everyone signs a waiver during the registration process. If you give your spot to someone they will not have signed the waiver and could go after us, our sponsors, vendors and race venues if they get hurt. A lawsuit could bankrupt us or other companies or could seriously affect our ability to put on races any longer.

Your friend races with your bib, unbeknownst to us. What happens if they get lost? We are actually looking for the wrong person!

Some of our events have a wait list. It isn’t fair for you to transfer your spot to someone who isn’t on the wait list, when there are people on the list hoping and crossing their fingers they get a spot.

We’ve already spent money on race shirts, medals, pint glasses, prizes, food and other items that we cannot recoup this late in the game.

A few additional tidbits to note:

*One Day USAT licenses are non-refundable per USAT rules. USAT FAQ can be found here.

*Deferrals will still need to purchase a new one-day USAT license the following year (or be an annual USAT member) for USAT sanctioned events.

Entries may only be deferred one time and are only valid for the following year’s event.

Entries and deferrals may not be transferred to another participant.

Entires and deferrals may not be transferred to another Endurance Evolution event.

No refunds will be issued for registration fee differences when switching to a less expensive event.

Anyone who participates in an Endurance Evolution event must be properly registered and must have paid any required registration fees prior to the start of the event.

Individuals who participate in any Endurance Evolution event without properly registering will be removed from the race.

Endurance Evolution reserves the right to ban unregistered participants from future Endurance Evolution events.

Unregistered individuals participating in Endurance Evolution events may also be subject to additional sanctions from USATF and/or RRCA.

Weather
If lightning or other severe weather is present within 30 minutes of the start of a race we will delay the start of all races by 30 minutes.

After 2 hours (total) of delay time the [longer distance] will be cancelled, however, the [shorter distance] will still proceed, and [longer distance] participants may choose to participate in the [shorter distance].

After an additional hour of delay (3 hours total) the race will be cancelled. Unfortunately we won’t be able to refund any entry fees, as we’ve already used them to pay for all the race expenses such as shirts, finisher’s medals, police and emergency services, permits, and food.

Timing and Results
When you step (or swim) to the starting line at one of our races, you’ll be competing against the rest of the competitors from the time the gun goes off, until you cross the finish line. When we say “Go!”, the race has started. The first one to cross the finish line is the winner. The second person to cross the finish line is second place, and so on. In other words, all overall placing and age group awards will be determined by gun time. Whenever chip timing is used, we will post chip/net times as a reference for our participants to know their actual net time for completing the event.

While we’ll try our best to let you know if these policies change, these policies are subject to change without notice. If you’ve got any questions, shoot us an email at hello@enduranceevolution.com.
